Last week a Moroccan man illegally crossed into the United States at Lukeville, Arizona. Lukeville is currently the epicenter of illegal immigration. He was one of many thousand who illegally entered Arizona last week.

The illegal immigrants are coming from all over the world. They come and enter the United States with impunity. They are fearless because they know they will likely be able to remain in the United States for years as they await an immigration hearing. They don’t even attempt to claim asylum. They admit they are coming for jobs. Looking for employment is not a legal reason for asylum.

This Moroccan man gratefully thanked Joe Biden when he spoke to FNC’s Bill Melugin. When asked where he wanted to go, he said New York City.

“I love you Joe Biden, thank you for everything, Joe Biden!”

His wish came true. Sure enough, the Moroccan man was sent to New York City.

Just as he planned, that man from Morocco knew that an overwhelmed border security system would apprehend him and then release him with notice to attend an immigration hearing somewhere down the line. In the meantime, he’s free to roam wherever he likes. Taxpayers foot the bill for transportation, whether it is DHS or the state of Arizona or Texas. American taxpayers are paying for Joe Biden’s dereliction of duty on the southern border.

The situation in Lukeville, Arizona has gotten so bad that a legal port of entry nearby had to be closed. The Border Patrol agents working that port of entry were pulled off of that duty and brought to Lukeville to help process illegal immigrants. The reports are that the number of illegals overwhelm the Border Patrol agents by a ratio of 200 to 1 at Lukeville. This is madness. Instead of flooding the sector with additional personnel, DHS decided to close a port of entry which affects businesses in Arizona and Mexico. Suffer a little more, Arizonians. Joe Biden doesn’t care.

Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs, a Democrat, went to the border to see the situation for herself. She posted a video on social media. She stood by the port of entry and in front of the border wall. Hobbs said Arizona had suffered the burdens of illegal immigration long enough. She wants reimbursement from the Biden administration for the costs incurred. Hobbs also said she is thinking about sending the Arizona National Guard to the border. That should be a no-brainer, governor. What is the hold-up? She sent a letter to Biden demanding more resources and personnel. Good luck with that. Biden ignores Democrats and Republicans alike when it comes to requests for help with the border or illegal immigration.

Businesses who rely on cross border travel are cutting hours due to a lack of business.

The Why Not Travel Store manager in Why, Arizona, says business has come to a near standstill.

“It’s been slow. We’ve had to cut hours,” Nez said.

Their main customers are drivers filling up for gas before they cross the border and head to Rocky Point.

Bernadette Nez tells me since the Lukeville Port closed they’ve made only $5,000.

“That’s how much we usually make in a day.”

I hope they can hold on because there is no end in sight. The numbers of illegal immigrants are increasing, not decreasing.

Business on both sides of the border is taking a hit.

“I would say if the port isn’t opened by Christmas, a lot of businesses will close.” Rocky Point resort manager @Hectorjr71 said.

Sens. Mark Kelly and Kyrsten Sinema sent a letter to Biden on Monday that echoes Hobbs’ letter.

“In light of the recent decision to temporarily close the Lukeville Port of Entry and the record number of migrants attempting to cross into Arizona, we write in support of Governor Hobbs’ request to reassign National Guard members to facilitate the reopening of the port, and to have the federal government reimburse the state for the costs it incurs shouldering the burden of the border crisis,” the letter says.

The letter goes on to say that Arizona communities have paid the price for Washington’s failures on the border. Border states are stuck with the costs of managing the Biden border crisis. The senators requested that Biden reassign the 243 National Guard members on federal active duty orders on the southern border to facilitate the reopening of the Lukeville Point of Entry. And they repeated Governor Hobbs’ request for financial reimbursement. They are all reasonable requests. Biden will never do it.

The only saving grace that border states have is that illegal immigration and the Biden border crisis have become a political hot potato for Biden and his re-election campaign. Voters are starting to pay attention and demand action to secure the border. The border crisis no longer just stays in Texas or Arizona. Every community is a border community in Biden’s America.
